· 85% of Argentinean population are European descendants and the name of the country comes from argentum that in Latin means silver. This name on the world map appeared in 1524 when Spanish conquistador ships arrived in the delta of Rio de la Plata (Silver River), where lately was established Buenos-Aires.
· Patagonia lays on one third of Argentinean territory (and also takes a big part of Chile), but there are living less than 5% of Argentinians and about 20 million of ships. First European who appeared here and gave the name to this land was Magellan.
· Such vine variety like Malbec was introduced in Argentina only in 19 century. Surprisingly, but it adapted very quickly to local terroir. In Europe this variety gives good full-bodied wines only in French region – Cahors. Therefore Argentinean winemakers are so proud with high reputation of Malbec wines from Argentina around the world.
